A public transit authority built on reliability, accessibility, and community service.
Our story
The Sunridge Transit Authority was established in 1994 with a mandate to provide affordable, reliable public transportation to a fast-growing Arizona city. We launched with 5 bus routes and a fleet of 22 vehicles serving fewer than 300,000 annual riders.
Three decades later, our 220-vehicle fleet operates 38 bus routes and a 22-mile light rail line, carrying more than 12 million riders per year. We remain a public agency -- accountable to the community, not shareholders.
What we stand for
We measure ourselves against a 95% on-time standard and publish our performance data quarterly so riders always know how we are doing.
Every vehicle in our fleet meets ADA standards. Paratransit, audio announcements, and low-floor boarding ensure no rider is left behind.
Sunridge Transit keeps fares low and offers multiple reduced-rate programs so that cost is never a barrier to using public transportation.
We notify riders of service changes in real time via SMS, email, and our website. No surprises -- just clear, timely information.
Service areas
Our routes reach all ten districts of Sunridge, with direct connections to regional employment centers, hospitals, universities, and the Sky Harbor transit connector.
