Our story
Paws & Whiskers started in 2011 when Maria and Dale Harmon got frustrated trying to find honest, knowledgeable pet advice at the big-box stores. They opened a 1,200-square-foot shop on Cactus Flats Blvd with a saltwater tank, a bin of premium kibble, and a promise: give real answers to real pet owners.
Thirteen years later, the shop has grown to six full departments, a self-serve dog wash, and a staff of eleven who collectively own nearly forty pets between them. The Harmons still open the store most mornings and still answer the phone themselves.
What we stand for
Every product decision, every staff hire, and every layout choice in this store is made with one question: is this good for the pet?
Our team attends nutrition seminars, fish keeping workshops, and exotic pet training so we can give you answers, not guesses.
We drop any brand that fails our quality bar. If it is on our shelf, we would feed it to our own animals.
We sponsor local rescue drives, donate food to animal shelters, and host in-store adoption days with partnering rescues.
